frequently asked questions about our web & email hosting.
General Questions
Q: Can I use Microsoft FrontPage?
A: Yes! Our servers support the Microsoft FrontPage
extensions up to 2002. We have not tested the
server with FrontPage 2003 yet.
Q: Can I use CGI Scripts?
A: Yes, but we reserve the right to disable or
remove scripts that could be a security risk
or that use excessive CPU cycles. We have scripts
available for your use, please contact us for
more information.
Q: Do you offer web statistics?
A: Yes, they are free with your account. They
are updated daily, (so if your site has been
up for less than 24 hours, you won’t
see them). Go to http://www.yoursite.com/stats,
(replace “yoursite” with your actual
domain name. The system will ask you to enter
your site administrator login and password.
Q: Do you offer Access or MSSQL Database?
A: No, not at this time. Check with CSS Communications
for Access or SQL database web hosting.
Q: Do you offer MySQL and PHP?
A: We can provide MySQL database and PHP, however
they are not included in our $7.99 hosting
package. Please see our Hosting
with Database account for more information.
Q: Do you offer Access
or MSSQL Database or Cold Fusion?
A: No, not at this time. Check with CSS
Communications for Access or SQL database web hosting.
Q: Do you offer MySQL and PHP?
A: We can provide MySQL database and PHP, however
they are not included in our $7.99 hosting
package. Please contact
us for a quote on MySQL
database hosting.
Q:
Does your hosting include SSL (https)?
A: No, but we can provide SSL for an additional
charge. You will also need an Certificate,
which you can purchase, or we can provide for
you. Contact us for more information on SSL
hosting and certificates.
Q: What about Spam
Filtering?
A: Our spam filtering comes with our $12.99
hosting and email account. You get all of
the features of our standard $7.99 hosting,
with spam filtering for all of the email addresses
you have on our server. For more information

Q: Does the account support
ASP Pages?
Yes! You can use ASP Pages with our $7.99
web hosting.
Space and Limits
Q: How do you measure the disk space?
A: Your disk space is a total amount of disk
space on the server. This includes all of your
email accounts as well as your website. Your
site administrator will receive an email when
you are reaching your disk limit.
Q: What can I do if I receive a notice that
I am close to my disk space limit?
A: Some of the things you can do are: Don’t
store email on the server, remove files that
aren’t being used from the server. Don’t
use very large photos on your website unless
absolutely necessary, they take a long time to
download, and usually aren’t necessary.

Q: What if I need more disk space?
A: We can allocate additional disk space to your
account for $5.00 a month. Contact is for more
information.
Q: Do you have a bandwidth or throughput limit?
A: Yes, however unless you are hosting an extremely
busy or popular site, you won’t have
to worry about it. If you have a high traffic
website, the $7.99 monthly hosting probably
isn’t for you. Your site stats will give
you an idea of how much traffic your website
is getting.
Q: Can I install a message board?
A: We can install a message board for you, however,
there is an additional charge for running a
message board. If you are interested in an
interactive website, we now offer PHP-Nuke
hosting. You can see an example of PHP-Nuke

Email Questions
Q: What if I need more email addresses?
A: Let us know. You can purchase additional email
addresses and disk space.
Q: Can I have email aliases?
A: Yes, the system allows you to create your
own email aliases. There is not set limit to
the number of email aliases you can have.
Q: Can I have *@mydomain.com?
A: Yes, you can configure the system so that
anything at your domain will go to a specified
email address. This can generate a lot of email
in your box.
Q: What is your policy
on spam?
A: Uncomplicated does not support spam. Anyone
using our service to send unsolicited email
will have their accounts immediately suspended.
Our Mailing List service MUST include a method
to unsubscribe, or contact information to be
removed from the list. If you need to ask if
something is ok, it probably isn't.
Q: Can you provide Spam filtering?
A: Yes, please see our $12.99
hosting page.
Payment
Q: Is there a setup fee?
A: For most of our accounts we don’t have a setup fee, but if you'd really
like to pay one…
Q: Can I pay by credit card?
A: Yes. We accept credit cards
through Pay Pal. We can also invoice you monthly,
quarterly, biannually, or annually. If you
need alternative billing, we can probably work
something out.
Q: Can I pay quarterly or annually?
A: Yes, it makes our life much easier, we appreciate
term billing.
Q: If we are using term billing and we cancel,
do we get a refund?
A: No. Once you’ve paid, you get the service
thru your paid period.
Q: What if we are REALLY dissatisfied with the
service?
A: If you aren’t happy with our service,
we want to fix what’s wrong, or help you
find a service you are happy with. If you are
not happy within the first 30 days, we WILL refund
any hosting fees. PLEASE NOTE: We charge a $15
domain registration fee if you cancel within
the first 30 days. At any other time, you can
cancel at any time, and your service will end
at the end of the current paid term. Beyond 30
days, there is no charge for the domain registration.
Other
Q: Can you design my web page for me?
A: Yes. We can help you get started, provide
some ideas, or do the whole thing. From a business
card website to a full site. See our design
section for more information.
Q: Do you have a referral program?
A: No. We do offer a hearty thank you, but we
don’t have a referral program. If you
do refer someone to us, please have them let
us know, so we can at least pass along that
hearty thank you.
Q: Can you help us
set up a contact form, PayPal Account, Random
Image
scripts, or troubleshoot
our site when we can’t figure something
out?
A: Yes. We are available to install scripts,
troubleshoot problems, or help set things up
for you on a consulting bases. Our consulting
fee is $40 an hour. We can provide you with an
estimate prior to doing any work on the server.
Q: Do you offer a backup and recovery service?
A: Not at this time. We STRONGLY recommend you keep at
least 2 copies of your website, (your working
copy and a backup) on your local PC, or on
a removable disk. Uncomplicated.net is not
responsible for lost data for any reason. We
do backup our servers, however, this is only for a catastrophic event,
and should not be relied on for unintentional deletions, or other user
specific issues.
